IKEBANA - Japanese Flower Arranging with Keiko Kubo
Saturday, October 18, 2025 * 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
XYZ Studios, Las Cruces, New Mexico
Join us for an immersive floral design workshop where we explore the art of Ikebana, the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging. The class is perfect for anyone eager to learn a new, creative way to work with flowers while embracing the beauty of nature.
Facilitated by Oakland, California resident, Keiko Kubo, we will learn the history of Ikebana flower arranging, with emphasis placed on the Sogetsu School curriculum.
Sogetsu was created in 1927. In the words of founding lemoto, Sofu Teshigahara, In Ikebana, flowers become you. Anytime, anywhere, by anyone--and with any materials.
Here, we have an artform that unites natures flowers, fashioned by the gods, with the human spirit. No matter how times change, human hands will create infinite possibilities.
