You drive around Las Cruces and see plants and gardens you admire. Perhaps you wonder if you can grow these plants in your own space, no matter how big or small. And where would you start to look to buy them? Well, you're in luck.
As part of the Lush and Lean Workshop Series, hosted by the City of Las Cruces Water Conservation Program, David Lyman offers a unique presentation on desert gardening in the Zone 8 environment. In this workshop, Master Gardener and plant lover, Lyman talks about common and unique plants that are well-suited to our desert region. This will include Agave, Yucca, Joshua Tree, Nolina, Ocotillo, and a variety of cacti. Colorful and flowering plants will also be highlighted.
David Lyman will include a variety of slides from plants he grows in his own garden. Local and regional resources for purchasing these plants will be provided. Oh, and there will be a raffle for a free Joshua Tree.
